Hallstatt is in the mountain and lake region of Austria called the Salzkammergut. The town is very small, squeezed between the mountain and the Hallstättersee (Hallstatt Lake). It is very picturesque and relatively quiet although packed with tourists.
Photos from this town are few since Don was recovering from the dehydration of Vienna.

We had quite an antique wardrobe in our room (left).
In fact, the whole hotel was filled with antiques. Since our camera does not have a flash most of the interior photos were too dark, even with desktop enhancement. This one (right) shows an anteroom near the entry.
